Per-ship posters
A signed QR poster for each ship, so every report arrives with the ship confirmed.
$35 per ship a month
- 1 to 20 ships$35
- 21 to 60 ships$29
- More than 60 shipsQuoted
- A Master code for each ship
- An inspection pack for each ship
Seafarers speak up from the ship's QR poster, with no name. Your DPA answers on time, on the record.
On board? Scan the QR poster on your ship to raise a concern. It opens the crew page for your company and ship. Used it before on this phone? Open the crew page
Each step meets a paragraph of the rules, so the evidence builds itself while the work gets done.
The seafarer scans the poster in the mess room or the ship's office. The crew page opens on any phone, in 15 languages, with no app, no account and no name. On a weak connection, the phone keeps the report until there is signal.
Std A5.1.5 para 4 Every seafarer can open the procedure, with flag-state and home-country contacts.

The report is sealed on the phone before it leaves. Only the people ashore your company chooses can open it: nobody on board, and not TideSpeaker. The seafarer keeps a case code, the only key to their case.
Reg. 5.1.5 para 2 · Std A5.1.5 para 3 Safeguards against victimisation, with confidentiality at every stage.

The DPA or HSEQ handler sees the next step and when it is due, from your own SMS time limits. They can ask questions, and the seafarer answers by case code, still without a name. Reminders go out before anything is late.
Reg. 5.1.5 para 1 · Guideline B5.1.5 para 2(b), 2(f) Complaints handled at each stage within set time limits.

Every complaint, decision and handler action goes into a hash-chained audit trail. Inspection readiness checks each ship against the rules, and the inspection pack prints it for the inspector.
Guideline B5.1.5 para 2(e) Every complaint and decision recorded, with a copy to the seafarer.

Screens from the TideSpeaker test version. The company, ship and case are sample data.
Everything below is included, with no add-on; the Master code comes with the Per‑ship posters plan. The MLC list is the same one the dashboard checks ship by ship in Inspection readiness.
| Rule | What it asks | How TideSpeaker meets it |
|---|---|---|
| Reg. 5.1.5 para 1 · Std A5.1.5 para 2 | On-board procedures for fair, effective and quick handling of complaints. | Your SMS procedure, its steps and time limits, on every ship's crew page. |
| Std A5.1.5 para 4 | Every seafarer has a copy of the procedure, with contacts in the flag state and their home country. | The procedure opens from the QR poster in English or the crew's language, with the ship's flag-state contact and home-country contacts. |
| Std A5.1.5 para 4 · Guideline B5.1.5 para 1(b) | A named person on board who gives confidential, impartial advice. | Named for each ship and shown to its crew. |
| Std A5.1.5 para 2 · Guideline B5.1.5 para 2(c), 2(g) | The right to complain directly to the Master, the company or an outside authority. | Shown on the crew page and in the procedure. On Per‑ship posters, the Master also has a code to report straight to the shore team. |
| Std A5.1.5 para 3 · Guideline B5.1.5 para 2(d) | The right to be accompanied or represented. | Stated in every seafarer's copy of the procedure. |
| Reg. 5.1.5 para 2 · Std A5.1.5 para 3 | Safeguards against victimisation for raising a complaint. | No name needed. Crew can report being treated badly from their own case page, and it is counted in Inspection readiness. |
| Guideline B5.1.5 para 2(e) | Every complaint and decision recorded, with a copy to the seafarer. | Each outcome shows on the seafarer's case page and in the inspection pack, kept for the years you choose. |
| Reg. 5.1.5 para 1 · Guideline B5.1.5 para 2(b), 2(f) | Time limits for each stage. | Limits from your procedure, reminders before each one is due, and late cases flagged. |
| Std A5.1.5, 2025 amendments expected in force 23 Dec 2027 | Stronger confidentiality and anti-victimisation safeguards; complaints may also go to shore-side personnel. | Reports are sealed on the phone and go to your chosen people ashore. Emails carry a case code only. |
| Rule | What it asks | How TideSpeaker meets it |
|---|---|---|
| ISM Code section 4 IMO | A Designated Person Ashore with direct access to the highest level of management. | Reports go straight to the people ashore you choose, such as the DPA, never through anyone on board. |
| ISM Code section 9 IMO | Non-conformities, accidents and hazardous situations reported to the company. | A Safety topic for equipment, near misses and unsafe work, each with its own case record. |
| EU Directive 2019/1937, Art. 9 | Acknowledge a report within 7 days and give feedback within 3 months. | Time limits can be shorter than these, never longer, whatever the procedure says. |
| Japan Whistleblower Protection Act, 2025 amendments in force 1 Dec 2026 | No unjustified attempts to identify a whistleblower; penalties for dismissal or discipline over a report. | No name needed, a sealed report, and every handler action in the audit trail. |
TideSpeaker gives you the procedure, the channel and the record. Whether a fleet complies is decided by its flag states, port state control and its auditors.
Report words, photos and names are sealed in the seafarer's browser and open only in your handlers' browsers. The server keeps what it needs to route a case and nothing more.
Start with a free 90-day pilot, with an onboarding session for your DPA and HSEQ team. Then pay monthly, or yearly: a year costs 10 months.
